Outside temperatures have been quite hot in the last week, near 100F at times. Luckily though, it looks like the temperature sensors in the FCTE are reporting ~15F below that. The attached plots are of the same time frame and I tried to scale as closely as possible. the FCTE clearly doesn't see the same extremes with its diurnal temps.
