DQ Shift Report LHO: 7 Aug 2023 00:00 UTC to 13 Aug 2023 23:59 UTC
Link to the report:
- IFO averaged observing time around 58.63% with low observing time on Aug 7,8 and 11. Observing for >89% over the weekends
- Several loss lock/ leave observing due to squeezer through out the week (check Aug-12, Aug 10, Aug-8, Aug-8)
- The range was consistently between 140 and 145 Mpc when in observing mode. Hit near 160 Mpc at one point (alog link)
- Fscan line count was consistently below 600 this week, except for Wednesday Aug - 9(650 lines)
- Hveto primary winners over the week were:
- H1:PEM-EX_VMON_ETMX_ESDPOWER48_DQ
- H1:SUS-ETMX_L3_OPLEV_PIT_OUT_DQ
- H1:SUS-ETMX_L3_OPLEV_YAW_OUT_DQ
- Other winners: H1:ASC-Y_TR_A_NSUM_OUT_DQ (Aug 09, 12, 13), H1:ASC-CHARD_Y_OUT_DQ (Aug 10, 12), H1:LSC-REFL_A_LF_OUT_DQ (Aug 12)
- Stood out excess noise in PEM during observing time
- Aug 09, 12, 13: (PEM: Acoustic) violin modes noise(thick 23-24Hz line)
- Aug 10: (PEM: Acoustic) loud noise burst in EX, and EY last nearly 2 hours (1:10 UTC - 3:40 UTC)
- Aug 11: (PEM: Accelerometers End BSCs) loud noise burst in BSC10 [X] and [Y] last nearly 2 hours (0:00 UTC - 2:00 UTC)
- Strong horizontal lines shows up as the IFO enter lock around 102 Hz, 500Hz, 1000 Hz. 102 Hz line cover a broader range of frequencies
- 102.13 Hz line presents in Fscan spectrum through the week with high power, except for Aug 13
- Possibly only because IFO entered the lock only once at near end of the day
- Still visible in the h(t) spectrogram
- There were low-frequency loud glitches (10-14Hz) that often happened right before the IFO loses lock (check glitch gram on Aug 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13)
