I have used colors to indicate the importance of various bits of the front end STATE_WORD on the CDS overview MEDM. Initially all bits had equal weight. In the new scheme the priority is (from lowest to highest)

OVERFLOW: blue

EXCITATION: purple

WD (no active suspension): YELLOW

active WD and all other bits (timing, running, awg, daq): RED

I will maintain which WD bits should be RED or YELLOW, currently only IMC systems are RED.
