BOSEM mounting plate was tapped dry by Jim and it's working great.
All TMS SUS cables were connected.
-
TMS BOSEM cables (D1000234) were connected to the BOSEMs.
-
One cable was connected to F1, F2, F3 and left OSEM, another one was to right and side (in this order). No S/N visible on the cable connector.
-
We borrowed two D1000225 cables from Justin, and used these to connect the OSEM cables to the 25 pin male-male dummy feed through.
-
Clean cable routing is not excellent but there's no need to do it super nicely at this stage.
-
On the dirty side of the dummy feed through, two female-female were used to connect dirty cables that have male connectors.
-
These dirty cables are connected to the feed through on the ceiling of the lab, and to the rack outside.
-
I have no idea which of the dirty cables are supposed to be which, so there's a 50% chance that F1-F2-F3-LEFT is connected to what is supposed to be RIGHT-SIDE cable. You'll find out soon.
All BOSEM were reasonably centered but height was not adjusted because the MEDM was not working on cdsimac2.
Not all safety structures were installed, but the one that matters (safety wire) was. There was some problem that was fixed by bending wire (another alog).
I'll be on vacation next week, but basically everything is there for SUS test. Corey/Cheryl/Deepak need to do the following:
-
Make MEDM work. Ask Dave.
-
Remove all wipes on the table that are protecting mirrors. Some wipes are touching the SUS wire. Otherwise everything should be floating freely.
-
Open TMSX MEDM and look at the raw count of the BOSEMS. Adjust the height of BOSEMs by turning two PEEK nuts. You need to shoot for the mid point between open and closed.
-
There's 50% chance that (F1 , F2) are swapped with (RIGHT, SIDE), and no signal from F3 and LEFT. If this is the case, swap the dirty cables.
-
Leave it for about 30 min and take the free swing spectrum.
-
Give it to SUS people. The point is just to see that the damping works and that nothing is touching.
In parallel, you need to work on assembling the remaining safety structures.
