PSL PMC Alignment and Rotation Stage Calibration
This morning I tweaked up the PSL PMC alignment remotely using the picomotor-controlled mirrors with the ISS off. I was only able to get about 60mW of power increase out of the PMC, but I decreased reflected power by about 200mW, so perhaps there's some mode-matching that could be optimized in the future.
After that, I recalibrated the rotation stage using the following process:
- Took IMC offline and paused LASER_PWR guardian
- Ran the script /opt/rtcds/userapps/release/psl/h1/scripts/RotationStage/MoveRotationStage.py to create PSL_rotStageCalib_2Apr2024.txt (attached)
- Changed PSLvals in CalibRotStage.m for correct file name then ran to create calibration curve (attached) and get new fit values (in table)
- Input new fit values into calibration and accepted new values in SDF (screenshot attached)
- Searched for HOME on rotation stage
- Resumed LASER_PWR guardian to go back to 2W input power
