Continuing the effort I started in alog77692, I've created histograms showing the various frequencies used in the FIND_IR main locking state for both COMM and DIFF. For COMM I used the actual VCO frequency (since the offset is zeroed early on) and for DIFF I used the offset value. The data starts from the beginning of O4.

It became clear as I gathered the data for these plots that for both COMM and DIFF there are two main groups where the frequency likes to be for IR locking. There were also occasional outliers which look to be from a person finding the IR resonance by-hand moving the COMM or DIFF offset.
