STATE of H1: Lock Acquisition

SHIFT SUMMARY:

H1 had a fairly straightforward time.  Needed an alignment to get it back to NLN both times.  Highlight of the afternoon was (3) gravitational wave candidates in less than 3hrs!
LOG:

• (1333) Lockloss & an hour of locking to no avail.
• 1435 Initial Alignment
• 1445 Reran launch script for nuc33 (for sqz dtt which was successful) and nuc5 (for dmt viewer which was not successful)
• 1503-1609 Dust Monitor FAMIS checks for EX.EY.LVEA (mitch)
• 1546-1613 Optics/Vac Prep clean (karen)
• 1550 OBSERVING (Overnight, h1 did run through an alignment at 1400, but it did not take.  So I ran one at beginning of shift and it was straightforward, DRMI was taking close to 5min, so went to PRMI, --BUT-- wouldn't ya know it, DRMI locked right after I selected PRMI! Other than that Locking was easy.

  • NOTE:  Sheila made a comment about the Squeezer not looking great at beginning of lock (high frequency looked higher to her than normal during this thermalization phase); will revisit in a few hours.
