ETMX Install Prep
Randy craned the ACB Box over the beamtube and helped Thomas load it on a truck and they transported it to X End. Bubba and I helped them unload the box and take the outer layer of wrappings off the box, the suspension and the tooling. Next, we moved all those items to the middle bay where the layers of CPStat were removed. Once the CPStat was removed, we transported the C-3 covered structures into the VEA. Randy, Scott, Tyler and Thomas got fully garbed and went into the chamber cleanroom: Randy and Scott on the work platform and Tyler and Thomas in the chamber. Bubba used the newly-designed lifting plate to crane the box into the chamber through the dome opening. This seemed to work very smoothly and eliminated the need for man-handling the heaviest part of the ACB. Randy and Scott came down off the work platform and helped Bubba and I man-handle the ACB suspension and tooling into Thomas and Tyler.

Once all the ACB parts were in the beamtube, the Apollo crew started getting the chamber cleanroom ready for cartridge install. The handrails were removed from the work platform and handed out for storage on the E-module. The curtains were rearranged and the cleanroom position adjusted to allow freedom of movement. (Apparently, the wheels did not move very easily so there will be some vinyl repairs...)The cleanroom was half-way lowered by lunchtime and will be all the down by the end of the day.

Jeff and I worked on the Test Stand, Work Space and Staging cleanroom curtains so that they are ready for the moves associated with clearing the cartridge for the install pick.
