Data Quality Shift Report 2025-01-20 to 2025-01-26
- Observing for ~58% of the time on average throughout the week. Range typically around 160 Mpc
- A couple of earthquake locklosses (one on Monday and one on Tuesday)
- Fscan results: several days over the past couple of weeks with line count above average, some days reaching alert threshold (before this week). Line count seems to be trending upwards
- Most interesting thing to note is the growining amplitude of the peak at 35.5Hz and how it changes throughout the day (example shown in first image)
- This summer, Genevieve C, Sam C, Robert S linked this peak to 2 sources: the office area air handler unit and the chillers (alog)
- Looking back over the last couple of months, this peak started growing in amplitude around late November/early December
- Wednesday Jan 22, the peak is an order of magnitude larger than it was earlier in O4 (second image)
- Our group (UOrgeon) plans to follow up using accelerometers and microphones to understand if they're witnessing the same changes seen in DARM.
