Apollo work for 07 Nov 2013
We performed in the three-ring circus today.

There were many items that needed to be craned into position in the LVEA in preparation for both this weekend's and next week's work: the Work Space cleanroom from the X Arm Spool area went to the south side of BSC1 for viewport installation, an additional work table and two shelving units for OFI assembly were needed in the West Bay and an enclosure was flown to the optical table at the foot of the mezzanine stairs for IO modification. All that activity took place this morning.

Work related to the X End reconfiguration continued. The Work Platform was transported to Y End. The E-Module was picked, turned and placed by BSC5. The BSC Storage Container Top was hauled to the End to be mated with the bottom and then the entire unit was moved back to X Mid. The spool piece was transported from X Mid to X End and placed in the VEA. That concludes the dirty work on the checklist and the space is ready for a good cleaning on Monday morning.

After lunch, we worked on modifying the Work Space cleanroom at the south door of BSC1 for TCS viewport install under clean conditions. The cleanroom and surrounding area were cleaned. Mark and Thomas started viewport installation at about 2:45 pm. Once Mark is done with that, he will make an entry into BSC3 to remove the dust/laser barriers so that BSC1-2 are accessible for TCS install over the weekend. The barriers will be stored in the west nozzle of BSC3.
