SHIFT SUMMARY:

IFO is in LOCKING_ALS and PLANNED ENGINEERING

A very productive day whereby we discovered that on Fri, we LHO needs to vent HAM1 to briefly reseal the +Y door. This begun a rush to get a calibrated IFO before that vent. In order, here's what happened.

VAC Morning Maintenance:

Vacuum entered at varound 8:15 AM PT to determine where their detected annulus pump leak was. The day prior, they had found that it was in one of the HAM1 doors. This morning, they found that it is the +Y door, which requires the movement of ISCT1 to access. They then told the rest of the lab at the 10 AM PT comissioning meeting. We have to vent on Fri Jun 6. Vacuum will attempt to vent and pump down all within the weekend still prepped for a Wed O4 restart. VAC was out at 10:30 AM PT and we began locking right after.

Locking and the Calibration Sweep Rush:

Armed with the knowledge tat IFO would be down for comissioning starting tomorrow, it was determined that we needed to get at least one thermalized NLN calibration sweep so we began locking:

• ALSX: There was a weirdness in locking ALSX in which it would catch just fine and would even lock DRMI but that the counts would be 0.6 (usually 1.2) in TRX. After Elenna and Sheila trended a bunch of channels to see how ALSX could have walked away this much, they found that PR3 had drifted in Pitch over the last week. Elenna reverted the P drift, which unexpectedly made AS A SUM worse. Elenna then moved PR3 Y and it worked to maximize AS A.
• ALS Offloaded. After locking ALSX, I forgot to request the initial alignment offloaded which meant that the IR cameras could not FIND_IR (some of the time depending on certain lock thresholds), so this required a second ALS run-through
• PRX ASC: At PRX_Locked during initial alignment, Sheila and Elenna tried to fix PRM ASC, but after some failed attempts, we just moved forward with the initial alignment
• Locking: Locking was mostly automated. I did have to touch PRM at DRMI in order to undo some PRM comissioning during the initial alignment. We continued through the states, with the comissioners taking control at MAX_POWER to step slowly through LOWNOISE_ASC. With laser power reaching 60W at 2:09 PM PT, we had 2 hours until thermalization.
• We got to Nominal Low Noise and continued waiting for our calibration appointment, but unfortunately at the beginning (for reasons still being discussed), the sweep caused a lockloss.

The plan for tonight is to try and get a calibration sweep ahead of maintenance tomorrow.
