BSC (& HAM) ISI Assembly Status

(Corey, Eric, Fabrice, Greg, Jeff, Jim, Mitch)

So when we have parts, the SEI Team can throw down and battle with any schedule!

BSCISI#1

---Main Assembly:

There has been tons of work on this assembly.  Stage1 Closeout ("top") Plate was installed recently, and then the rest of Stage2 was attended to.  This morning we put the BSC ISI's "top hat" on (i.e. the Stage-2 Keel Base top plate).  This pretty much does it for big plates on this assembly.  Now we have lots of sub-assemblies and mass that we need to start loading onto this system.

---Sub-Assemblies:

The Small (Stage 1->2) Actuators have been assembled, and the Horizontal ones have been installed on the Main Assembly.  The Large (Stage 0->1) Actuators are currently being assembled.  A large and small Locker have also been assembled, and the rest can be built at any time.  As for other sub-assemblies, we have been working on kitting up parts for:  Sensors (for Stage0/1 & Stage1/2), Flexures (for Stage0/1 & Stage1/2), Blade Assemblies(for Stage0/1 & Stage1/2), Spring Pull-Down tooling, Spring Pusher tooling, and Blade Safety Restraint (for Stage0/1 & Stage1/2).  For the most part we look pretty good for parts and hardware.  There are a few things which are missing but they are only days away from being made available.  So, some of these sub-assemblies can be put together now, or when they get their missing parts, in a few days.

BSCISI#2

Stage0 has been put on the Granite Table, and is ready to be pre-assembled (i.e. dowel pins, helicoils, etc.).

HAMISI#3

Storage Container is in the Staging Bldg & has been cleaned.  The lifting hardware for the ISI is installed.  Tomorrow we plan on loading this assembly in it's storage container.  This will free up even more space for us in the Staging Bldg.
