TITLE: 07/01 Day Shift: 1430-2330 UTC (0730-1630 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Observing at 131Mpc
INCOMING OPERATOR: Ryan S
SHIFT SUMMARY:
Maintenance Day.
- Discoverd a couple of power supply fans failed for the EY ISC Field Racks, so those were swapped out.
- Lots of coordinated measurements for much of the morning. OPO crystal checked.
Model changes, then DAQ restart at noon--
- Confirm TFs, PCal are done w/ measurements
-
LOG:

- 1920 LVEA transitioned to HAZARD (corey)
- 1933 DAQ restart (Dave)
- One of the models restarted was ASC IMC.
- Unfortunately, the IMC was in the LOCKED state at this time, so after the model restart the IMC came back misaligned. Top Masses for MC1/2/3 were restored (by Jeff/Oli/corey) by looking at their M1_DAMP_[X]_INMON and steering the mirrors back to their values before the model/daq restart. Still had issues with getting IMC to lock. Then Jeff tweaked the PSL IMC PZT mirror in pitch a little and then IMC WFS took over from there to lock and align the IMC. So for next time, make sure to take the IMC_LOCK guardian node to OFFLINE.
- 1935 Green X Camera work (elenna, fil)
- 2025-2126 Transition LVEA back to SAFE + did an LVEA Sweep (but as I was finishing up, a few items came up):
- SQZ team needed to head back out for more SQZ work.
- A new Power Supply was discovered to be failing in the CER (the IO Chassis supply for H1SEI23). See Marc's alog85475. So this one (3rd of the day) coincided with a HAM2 ISI WD-tripping (or going OFFLINE) at 2101utc. This appears to have led to a possible input pointing issue, because during an Initial Alignment, H1 was stuck waiting to lock the red X-arm during INPUT_ALIGN. To get the X-arm to lock, Elenna needed to move a mirror (either PR2 or IM4) quite a bit. Continued with this alignment and went for locking. H1 made it to OMC_Whitening, BUT it was going to stay here for quite a while---the violins were really rung up from Maintenance activities (notified Rahul)....we eventually had a lockloss. This where H1 ended up at the end of the shift. Opting to lock again with the current alignment.
