TITLE: 07/02 Day Shift: 1430-2330 UTC (0730-1630 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Lock Acquisition
INCOMING OPERATOR: Tony
SHIFT SUMMARY:
H1's been locked for almost 8hrs (where the initial locking in the morning was almost entirely automatic--except for SQZ work [by Sheila & Matt] to address the issues Oli noted during the OWL shift).
Decent Observing time for most of the shift, but the last hour of the shift was peppered with PI24 ring-ups that dropped us out of Observing and dropped our range. Matt made changes to the ETMy Ring Heater to hopefully address this issue.
LOG:
- 1413 H1 had a lockloss after a 2hr lock.
- 1542 Ran script to return to the "Observing WITH Squeezing" (Oli needed to run WITHOUT squeezing last night).
- Sheila and Matt are now looking at the Squeezer.
- 1559 OBSERVING
- H1 was down at beginning of shift, and ISCLOCK took H1 to PRMI, locked PRMI and then was automatic all the way until NLN (where Sheila and Matt worked on Squeezing).
- 1700-1703: Out of Observing to look for a better Squeezer Angle via SCAN_SQZANG_FDS via SQZ_MANAGER.
- Also during this time, reverted the SR3 & SRM DAQ Kill Byapass times back to 1200 secs (vs 10000secs) per Oli's note.
- 1701-1711 H2 cleaning (nellie)
- 1844 Damping ETMx Mode1 (ryanC)
- 2010 Brief drop from Observing due to ETMx Violin Mode1 change (ryanC)
- 2107 Another drop due to monitor filter change (RyanC then made more filter buttons unmonitored).
- 1923-1947 VAC checks @EY Mechanical Room (janos)
- 2107-2113 Dropped out of Observing (due to SDF), so took this opportunity to (1) adjust the OPO Temp & (2) then run SCAN_SQZANG_FDS.
- 2228-2230 Out of OBSERVING--->PI24 was ringing up and the SUS_PI guardian rolled into action to go to the XTREME_PI_DAMPING state for a few minutes (once it damped PI24, the node returned to the PI_DAMPING strate).
- 2238-2340 Knocked out of Observing again as PI24 rung up due to a need for the XTREME PI DAMPING for a couple of minutes.
- 2244-2247 Another drop (during this one, tweaked up the OPO temperature in parallel.) Sheila & Matt discussing possible ESD changes to try and address this PI Mode.
- 2301-2306 Another drop and this time Matt took an opportunity to change Ring Heater settings to address this ringing PI Mode (alog85514).
