TITLE: 09/18 Eve Shift: 2330-0500 UTC (1630-2200 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Earthquake

SHIFT SUMMARY:

Nice shift with H1 currently locked 3+hrs post the big M7.8 Russia EQ.  Have not had any big EQs to knock us out during this shift.
LOG:

• EQ Mode continues
• 2352 Initial Alignment complete
• 2352 LOCK#1:  DRMI locked within a minute!
  • 0006 LOCKLOSS at CARM 5 PICOMETERS & Elenna noted that PRC rang up aroun 64Hz, but we're not sure that loop is the culprit because of an OLG measurement she took.  So the culprit has yet to be determoined.
• 0008 LOCK#2:  DRMI took 11min
  • 0045 LOCKLOSS at DHARD WFS while Elenna was looking at OLGs and walking through CARM 5 PICOMETERS steps (with some TR CARM offset changes also saw ring up around 65Hz)
• 0010 Seismic returns to CALM (woo hoo!!)
• 0047 LOCK#3 DRMI took 11min (again)
  • This time went with Offset & Gain changes Elenna made in previous lock & let ISC_LOCK go on its own.....even with....
  • 0114 EQ Mode Activated 
  • Made it through the tricky spots!!  And then continued on even with H1 in EQ Mode for 10min.
• 0125 Seismic to CALM
• 0141 NLN, but needed to sort out a way to get HAM7 ISOLATED without breaking lock (Jim & Jennie helped with that).
• 0217 OBSERVING
