Here are some updates on the current PSL status:
-
The main beam is blocked by a shutter at the output of the high power oscillator which can be digitally switched through Beckoff.
-
In addition, the main beam is blocked by a black-hole-style beam dump right after the EOM for a safety purpose. This stays there until the light pipe business is done.
-
The PSL enclosure is in the commissioning mode because there is no point to keep it in the science mode as IMC/PMC/FSS/ISS are not running.
-
The entrance of the light tubing on the PSL side is sealed up by a plastic sheet with tape to prevent unnecessary air flow going toward the outside.
