BHSS moved to optics lab

First alog regarding BHSS!

Betsy, Mitch, Corey, and I moved the BHSS platform from the staging building to the optics lab. We wrapped it in foil and ameristat, and rolled it over on a cart.

Previously, Oli, Camilla, and I have prepped all the optic mounts for both BHSS and BHD optics. These mounts are all currently laid out on the optics lab table with cloths and foil. All the BHSS optics have been clocked to their correct angle using the clocking tool.

BHSS is placed directly on the clean optics table, no foil. Oli has staged 4" height optics to direct laser beam to the platform once we are ready for alignment.

Oli, Camilla and I today pulled first contact on some BHSS optics. We have successfully installed both PCX 333 lenses for BHSS platform (QPD-T-A/B-L1), the 7% 20 deg splitters (QPD-T-A/B-R1), one 50% 45 deg splitter (QPD-T-A-R2) and two BHSS HRs, 36-R1 and TRN-T1. All of these optics have labels (except 36-R1) so they can be distinguished. Serial numbers have been noted in the optics BOM.

These optics are currently mounted in a random place in the center of the platform so they can be kept clean.

Oli and I struggled to remove FC from two 50% 45 deg mirrors and several HR mirrors. Other mirrors were still dirty and needed to be recleaned. We will return to these optics later to re-FC to pull the original FC or clean off spots.

OMCs are still in their cases covered in foil on the same optics table. They were previously opened by Camilla, Jenne, Betsy, and I and confirmed by eye to look good. Begum mailed us 4 great DCPDs from the tested batch, these are still wrapped and bagged and in a tote in the optics lab.

OMC cradle prep is on hold while we wait for EP30 glue to arrive. Other to do items include prepping alignment tooling, finishing cable pylons, and removing FC for the remaining mirrors, etc.

Photos to come...
