We're gradually converging on a shared LSC model for L1 and H1. Here's what we have in place on H1 so far:
-
New library parts encapsulate all top level blocks in the LSC model (LSC, PSL, IMC, ALS, SYS). See lsc/common/models in userapps.
-
There are also new library parts for the LSC sensors (to handle their signal conditioning and power normalization), for the dynamic power normalization logic, and for the lockins.
-
An unused set of per-sensor static power normalization factors was removed.
-
Static power normalization of REFL_SERVO_SLOW was removed. Also, the IMC row and the REFL_SERVO_SLOW column were removed from the dynamic power normalization matrix. (All of these things will be normalized using the gain sliders in the common mode and IMC boards.)
-
IPC outputs to the ASC model for SPOP and SASY are now statically normalized. Another set of IPCs that sent POPAIR_B to ASC were removed, since they appeared to be redundant.
-
The switches that enable a SQRT calculation for SPOP and SASY were moved inside the dynamic power normalization subsystem, so their channel names changed. (Example: LSC-SPOP18_SQRT_SWT -> LSC-POW_NORM_SPOP18_SQRT_ENABLE)
-
An initial set of channels was selected for science frames.
In addition, we experimented with -- but eventually reverted -- a variety of approaches to organize and simplify the 7x34 LSC input matrix and the other LSC matrices. (It seems that we need to develop a new RCG matrix part if we want to make significant improvements here.)
The model, libraries, and MEDM screens have all been updated in the SVN. However, the L1-H1 merge is still ongoing. One remaining stumbling block is the readout of the FSS_RFPD channel in the PSL top_names block. (This was introduced to the LSC model long ago as a temporary hack, and we're still laboring to get it moved to a PSL model where it belongs.)
