As per WP 13457 we started the dolphin to ethernet transition today.

We broke into two groups, Dave and Tony when to the end stations.  Erik, Jonathan, and Cory worked in the corner station.  EJ provided remote support.

Current status:

• All Dolphin IX switches and cables have been removed from the racks
• The new ethernet switches are installed and under management
• The new ethernet cards have been installed in all systems and are connected into the switches
• h1seih23 has been upgraded to a w3323 system to increase the core count

Issues that we have hit

• h1seih23 had problems accepting bios changes. Erik reseated the battery which cleared that.
• h1seib3 was not listing the ethernet card, even though there was a link light.  After reseating the card it showed up properly.
• h1seiex is not seeing its ethernet card.  Reseatting and trying a spare card did not help.  We will need to deal with this tomorrow.
• We had picked out and tested fibers to run the IPC down the 4k arms previously, doing bandwidth tests.  We decided to use those fibers for the IPC and to leave the Dolphin 4k fibers as a backup.  We had problems with getting a link setup to the Y arm and ended up falling back to using the dolphin 4k link.
• One of the IO chassis in the end stations had a failed power supply.  Fil came and replaced that unit.

We have shown the ability to pass some IPC traffic between a few nodes.  We are doing a fresh build and install of the models to fix an issue with the target/install folder location being incorrect.  We plan on starting the models tomorrow morning.

The seis ai chassis are on in the end stations, and off in the corner station.
