Ops Eve Shift Summary

TITLE: 10/14 Eve Shift: 2330-0300 UTC (1630-2000 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE of H1: Commissioning
INCOMING OPERATOR: None
SHIFT SUMMARY:

After Elenna finished up for the evening (her notes in alog92301), she left me with some templates to run once I relocked to where she left off. I was able to relock all the way through DRMI_TO_POP automatically and started running the MICH OLG template, but this seemingly caused a lockloss a few seconds later. I relocked back up to the same place and was able to run all four measurements, the results of which are all attached: OLG for MICH, PRCL, and SRCL plus RF DARM. For the MICH and PRCL measurements, I ran them with a reduced excitation amplitude of 200 instead of the 300 I found set in the template. There were several large glitches in the PRG and LSC loops seen at this point, especially during the RF DARM measurement, which I believe explains the poor coherence at a few frequencies (Elenna theorized that "CARM is probably saturating somewhere"). I then moved to PREP_ASC_FOR_FULL_IFO with the intention of updating the green alignment references again, but there was a lockloss before I was able to. I didn't notice anything ringing up leading to the lockloss.

On the next three relocks, I was able to get through PREP_ASC_FOR_FULL_IFO fully automatically, but there were locklosses within two minutes after. I was not able to update green references at any of those times, but because the green alignment references were still updated today, morning operator: please run an initial alignment.

Leaving the IFO in DOWN for the evening following the latest lockloss from PREP_ASC.

(Also, the "gentle coo" in the control room is happening roughly every 14 minutes, iykyk.)
