PEM injections complete

I injected into the PSL, studied coupling at ISCT6 for a candidate, completed the re-dos, and after finding the RF amp with help from Richard (it had been moved to the Fire Pump room), I was able to make the RF injections from the water tower. I also did a small coil search for magnetic coupling sites at EY, since the coupling had increased by a few. Philippe reports that, aside from this magnetic coupling increase, coupling was about the same as at the beginning of the run.  While this was an abreviated set of PEM injections, I got more done than I had hoped, and I think we are pretty well covered for any new sources we find in the data.

Data Quality Shift March 23 - 29 Summary
Average duty cycle of 76.14%.

Average range of 118 Mpc for the week.

High winds Monday afternoon led to increase in HAM2 acoustic noise and slight range fluctuations.

Large Japan/Russia earthquake on Wednesday at 2:30 (UTC) knocked H1 out of lock.

Increase in dips and spikes in spectral ratio toward end of the week especially in 500, 1000, 1500, and 2000 Hz.

H1 out of observing as of 17:00 (UTC) on Friday March 27th due to suspension of O3 because of Covid-19.

PEM injections continue

I redid magnetic and acoustic injections that saturated some sensors at EY and CS. The magnetic coupling at EY has increased by a factor of 5 or so. The weekly coil injections at EY do not show a change, so it was before we had the weekly injection going. I did some work on localizing coupling site and will do more on Sunday. Also left for Sunday are RF injections (I ran into problems finding the amp today) and some followup.

Lost lock at the start of the shift. Relocking failed at DRMI_1F, with PRMI having trouble and eventually running through MICH twice. Aborted locking and ran Initial Alignment. After Initial Alignment finished, the IFO relocked on the first try. It has remained lock since.

While relocking Robert S. after competing what injections he could at End-Y left the site.

PEM injections today

I started when the run ended and made magnetic and acoustic injections at EY. In the afternoon I started low-f shaker injections. One of the sweeps knocked the interferometer out of lock. I have a bunch of redos tomorrow for accelerometer saturation (we push right up to saturation to get the best possible signal in DARM). Also, a study for a burst event and more low frequency injections. If I had to guess, I think I will have to use some time on Sunday.
