SHIFT SUMMARY: Two lock losses from observing, no obvious cause. Currently riding through 6.3 magnitude eq in South Georgia and the South Sandwich Is.
LOG:

00:10 UTC Lock loss from observing.
00:14 UTC Set SEI_CONF to WINDY. This might have helped the Y arm lock on green.
00:39 UTC Lock loss from RESONANCE. ISI BS stage 2 watch dog tripped.
00:46 UTC Lock loss from TURN_ON_BS_STAGE_2 (probably because it was tripped).
00:50 UTC Pausing at FIND_IR to untrip ISI BS stage 2. It went to DAMPED, but the nominal is HIGH_ISOLATED. Not sure if I should request HIGH_ISOLATED?
00:56 UTC Lock loss from FIND_IR
01:09 UTC Lock loss from PRMI_ASC
01:16 UTC Lock loss from ACQUIRE_DRMI_1F
01:17 UTC Pausing at READY. Setting ISI BS stage 2 request to HIGH_ISOLATED. It kept going back to DAMPED. Set SEI_BS to FULLY_ISOLATED. It went to FULLY_ISOLATED.
01:21 UTC Hit INIT. SEI_BS went to ISOLATED_DAMPED.
01:23 UTC Relocking.
01:32 UTC Lock loss from CARM_150_PICOMETERS. Pausing at READY to step out of control room.
01:41 UTC Set SEI_CONF to USEISM
01:43 UTC Relocking.
02:19 UTC NLN. No intervention.
02:21 UTC Accepted CALCS SDF differences. Observing.

02:35 UTC Verbal notification of a magnitude 5.3 incoming earthquake from Guam. Is on the borderline of not doing anything on the EQ response zones plot. Going to leave SEI configuration alone.

04:08 UTC Lock loss from observing.
04:37 UTC Lock loss from DHARD_WFS.
05:19 UTC NLN. No intervention.
05:20 UTC Accepted CALC SDF differences. Observing.

07:04 UTC Took SEI_CONF to EARTH_QUAKE for 6.3 eq in South Georgia and the South Sandwich Is.

Lockloss at 14:18 UTC
Ongoing long recovery from Jim's lockloss (alog 54580).
Not use why all the optics seem so badly aligned. I couldn't get PRMI to lock. It was very off in Pitch but I kept loosing lock adjusting it. Keita by phone helped me get through initial alignment, by aligning BS while watching ASC-AS_A_DC, and at 21:40 we have finally locked DRMI!
Livingston called to say they are down for such a long period due to storms, microseism, wind AND a complete power outage.

  • 22:19 NLN (finally!) SDF diifs attached:
    • There was lots of small 10-32 ones in CALCS (image) which have bee seen in the last few locks. I accepted.
    • There was 2 for ETMY_M0_TEST_OFFSETS, from when I exited out of initial alignment (sorry!). Offsets currently off, so I reverted.
    • There are 2 from ALS_Y_WFS I don''t know about. Maybe changed when Jim was troubleshooting, I accepted as it seems like they are still in use (photo). Tagging ISC?!

After tweeking the ETMY and TMSY to get the dot of light on WFS_A_DC as central as I could, Increase flashes worked its magic and got ALs locked.

SHIFT SUMMARY: Eq lockloss, then trouble with ALSY
LOG:
14:18 Lockloss caused by high microseism and earthquake seismic transition

I spent the next hour waiting for the ground to calm down, then waiting for ALS locking to fail. I could help lock the X arm after waiting for way too long, but no real visible light on the ALSY camera. I know this is a problem we've run into before, but couldn't find the fix in either Jenne's troubleshooting document or the alog, or even the H1 troubleshooting ops wiki. The only clue I have is that when the Xarm is locked the green wfs qpds have spots that are centered and the yarm A qpd doesn't have a spot and the B is not centered.
