The squeezer got stuck trying to lock the CLF tonight. I thought this could be related to the low LO power at the CLF demoduator (see attached screenshot), but it looks like this level has been low for a while. Corey init'd the SQZ_MANAGER guardian and it locked the CLF just fine so we don't know what was actually causing the problem.
(We initially thought that since CLF_REFL_RF6_DEMOD was super low (-50) that we needed to align the ZM's but we were confusing the LO and CLF loops -- the RF6 was low because the beam diverter was closed and does not get opened until the next step in the locking sequence.)
After running an alignment earlier, Sheila suggested I increase the FSS COMM Gain from 26dB to 29dB (Over last couple of days we have gone up from around 23dB up to 26dB due to the RefCav transmission nose-diving after the big Peru EQ). Unfortunately after I went to this higher gain, I could no longer get past LOCKING_ALS...even when I reduced the gain back to 26 & 25dB.
At this point I gave Jason a call so he could walk me through what to do to touch up the RefCav alignment. Starting at about 1.77V, I was able to take a decent step up to around 1.84V, but after that I just could not get any big improvements...I might have max-ed at about 1.87V...but this is still pretty horrible since this should be up around 4V (and this was with me spending atleast 90min trying to touch up the alignment. (a few hours of the transmission signal is attached).
I finally decided to give up on this and move on.
The FSS COMM Gain was at 25dB (1dB lower than at the beginning of the shift); I was hesitant to go to 26dB or higher due to the difficulties in getting past LOCKING_ALS earlier.
LOCKING:
One attempt broke lock at ACQUIRE DRMI.
Current attempt maid it to OFFLOAD_DRMI_ASC...but I really had to watch it toward the end of this step because the last few steps of this state would drive POP18 down & make PRC Gain noisier---I literally had to tweak SRM in Yaw quickly to keep the alignment from being driven off and breaking lock. Have optimized alignment best I can here at DRMI, and have hung out at OFFLOAD DRMI for about 10min (to make sure everything looks calm & flat before moving on)....Will move on and see what happens.

Whilst adjusting the alignment to the reference cavity, care should be exercised that the beam does not walk off the locking photodiode.
Due to issues with locking & a refcav transmission which has been dropping since yesterday, I gave Jason a call & he walked me through how to touch up the alignment remotely via the picomotors. It's pretty tough! Have managed to make a step up from 1.77 up to about 1.86, but I've been stuck here for tens of minutes. Will continue to peck away at this, but might have to live with what we got.

Tagging @DetChar and SEI for data in seismic's sensor correction configuration transition studies.
Lost lock at 09:57 (02:07) due to mag 5.8 Canadian earthquake. After things settled down enough to relock, had three lock losses at RESONANCE. The BS ISI tripped at the third lock loss, so decided to run an Initial Alignment (11:41 (04:41)). This went well, and required little hand adjustment. Started relocking at 12:07 (05:07). Reached NLN at 13:07 (06:07), and went into Observing at 13:08 (06:08) after clearing SUS TMS-X SDF Diff.
In observing for first 3 hours of shift. Lost lock due to mag 5.8 EQ in Canada. After seismic rang down enough started relocking. Had to dress up the BS and PRM (in Yaw). Have lost lock at RESONANCE (one HTTS and one SRM saturations). Still breaking lock at RESONANCE, but now with no saturations. Am looking in documentation for guidance.

First half of the shift was focused on getting H1 back UP & then had a short drop to address the PSL Refcav's drift downward (see alog). Started Jeff's shift with a GRB (& also a coyote sighting...we saw it getting a nice shower in the sprinklers in the back & having a drink from them, too!).

4:30:01 - 4:31:50: Out of OBSERVING
Once again noticed the symptom of a noisy DARM spectra above 2kHz. With Georgia on the phone, we bumped H1 out of OBSERVING, to ramp the Common Gain up 1dB from 24 to 25 (this was enough to fix DARM).
Georgia mentioned this is due to the PSL Ref Cab transmission dropping (usually around 4V, but now it is on a downward trajectory [currently at 1.8V]); Hoping we can last until Tues to fix this via the picomotors, but in the meantime the fix, once again is inching the Common Gain up.
If this appears again, one can click this gain up 0.1 steps at a time (while H1 is locked) & watch DARM as you go (it should drop the high frequency noise). You know you've gone too far if the PZT MON on the FSS medm starts to look noisier.
It's been an hour and after making lunch came back to see a very glitchy H1. The start of this one looks similar to the start of the other post-EQ lock earlier today. Will keep monitoring.
Also noticing that H1 is noisier for high frequency from 2kHz and above. Would this be PSL or SQZ related?

I was interested in what, if any, conferences changed between DARM and POP and REFL. I used skinny list of channels, and have included REFL in the first plot. Interestingly, the coherence with DARM today, in the lock after the EQ, are smaller than two days ago. The second plot is my first look at IMs to arms.
IM Shift & Restoring Pre-EQ
After antoher SQZ unlocking followed by a close H1 Lockloss, took this opportunity to take the IMs to their pre-Peru-EQ values (Cheryl did this...most notable change was Pitch for IM2 & IM3)---this is mainly because the last lock was not great & we're hoping that fixing the IM shifts will help H1.
ALS PDH Errors
On a seperate note, after H1 lost lock, noticed that we do not have any light for ALS x & y (green). On the ALS Overview both X & Y have "ERROR 4 PDH" errors.
This is is what I'm going to look into next. Once through ALS issue, will run a new INITIAL ALIGNMENT to the new IM pointing & see how H1 likes that.
ALS PDH issue is being traced down to GREEN Refl A for both arms having "Power To Low".
So at this point, I'm guessing this is alignment-related. So with Cheryl's help, I'm going to check alignment for TMS', ETMs', ITMs for their alignment pre-EQ.
Earlier today Cheryl and I noted that the ref cav tranmission PD has dropped since the earthquake (now sitting at 1.9V).
Maybe, since the ALS problems are in both arms, this is related? I can start looking into it remotely.
ALS Issue Solved!
My dumb mistake. For some reason both Shutters were closed for ISCTEX/Y green beams---OPENing this gave us light! So, now waiting for signals to converge so I can OFFLOAD and then move on with INITIAL_ALIGNMENT. (Thanks, Georgia & Cheryl for helping!)
