At Andy's request, I have compiled a list of psinject start/stop times that occurred during observing mode, based on the times of starts, stops and errors reported in the psinject log files on h1hwinj1. For inserting segments in the database, I have substracted 1 second from the start time and added 1 second to the end time. I have also verified that I can see a large glitch in H1:CAL-INJ_HARDWARE_OUT_DQ at these times: 1130155228 1130155231 Oct 29 2015 12:00:11 UTC 1130155254 1130155257 Oct 29 2015 12:00:37 UTC 1132130708 1132130711 Nov 21 2015 08:44:51 UTC 1132130741 1132130744 Nov 21 2015 08:45:24 UTC 1132162463 1132162466 Nov 21 2015 17:34:06 UTC 1132162498 1132162501 Nov 21 2015 17:34:41 UTC The tcl script used to find these times is attached, along with a concatenation of the psinject log files read by the script.
TITLE: 11/26 [DAY Shift]: 16:00-00:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PDT), all times posted in UTC STATE Of H1: Observing @ ~ 75 MPc. SHIFT SUMMARY: Lost lock for unknown cause. Relocked fairly easily. Observing since. Bubba came in to increase the temperature at end Y. Winds have calmed back down to between ~ 0 and 5 mph. Earthquake band has dropped back down to between 0.01 and 0.03 um/s. SUPPORT: Bubba INCOMING OPERATOR: Jim W.
Still in observing at ~ 79 MPc. The winds have started to come up and are between ~ 0 and 20 mph. The 0.03 - 0.1 Hz (earthquake) seismic band has increased at end X and end Y to between ~ 0.02 and 0.1 um/s. The 0.1 - 0.3 (microseism) band may be starting to slightly decrease. SUS ETMY saturations continue. Have not seen signs of RF45 noise. Bubba came in to increase the temperature at end Y.
ISI blends are on Quite_90. The continuous wave injection appears to be running on PCALX (The 'Cont. Wave Inj Signal' box is purple on the CAL_PINJX_CONTROL medm). I accepted the SDF difference for the SUS ITMY damping filter gain. Nutsinee told me I would have to because guardian would reset the change she made alog 23734. See attached snapshot. There is one testpoint open on H1LSC. Relocking sequence: Moved ETMY in Pitch to lock ALS. No DRMI lock after 12 min. Attempting to lock PRMI. Locked on PRMI. Adjusted both BS and PRM in Pitch and Yaw. Requested DRMI_LOCKED. Transition failed. Locked on DRMI 1F after ~ 5 min. Waited on DRMI_LOCKED for ASC loops to converge for ~ 3 min. Stopped at ENGAGE_ASC_PART3 to wait for ASC loops to converge for ~ 10 min. Engaged ISS second loop by hand. NLN PSL ISS diffracted power went to ~ 11% but eventually came back down to ~ 8%.
Miriam, Andy We checked a number of short, unexplained glitches (blip glitches) to see if they are due to missed samples between OMC-DCPD_SUM and LSC-DARM_IN1 or between LSC-DARM_OUT and SUS-ETMY (as in LLO aLOG 23058 ). No mismatches were found in either of them. The times of those glitches were obtained from the PyCBC searches: 1127959777.60 1128085613.28 1128221842.47 1128264648.20 1128078450.31 1128264485.84 1128279893.94 1130132047.202 1129748691.016 1130156793.541 1131357114.918 1130768253.356
Cause unclear. Nothing on seismic DTT.
From trending H1:FEC-117_GDS_MON_0 (the channel on the OPS overview) it looks like it changed around 21:35 UTC on Nov. 24. Is this because it was switched to PCAL X and the medm needs to be updated to use a different channel? alog 23701
good catch Patrick, yep it needs to be changed from CALCS to CALEX.
I have increased the heat at both end stations, End-X by 1.5Ma and End-Y by 1Ma. I have also increased the heat in zones 2B and 3A, each by 1 stage in the LVEA. I will continue to monitor all of these changes.
Zone 3A in the LVEA is not responding so I increased Zone 3B by 1 stage and will monitor.
TITLE: 11/26 [DAY Shift]: 16:00-00:00 UTC (08:00-16:00 PDT), all times posted in UTC STATE Of H1: Observing @ ~ 78 MPc. OUTGOING OPERATOR: Nutsinee QUICK SUMMARY: From the cameras: The lights are off in the LVEA. The lights are off in the PSL enclosure. The lights are off at mid X. I can not tell if the lights are on or off at mid Y. The lights are off at end X. The lights are off at end Y. The 0.03 - 0.1 Hz (earthquake) seismic band is between ~ 0.01 and 0.05 um/s. The 0.1 - 0.3 Hz (microseism) seismic band is between ~ 0.1 and 0.4 um/s. The winds are between ~ 0 and 10 mph. The ISI blends are on Quite_90. From pinging: CDS WAP is off at the LVEA. CDS WAP is on at mid X. CDS WAP is on at mid Y. CDS WAP is off at end X. CDS WAP is off at end Y.
H0:FMC-CS_LVEA_REHEAT_4_DEGF is high (> 100). H0:FMC-CS_LVEA_ZONE1B_B_DEGF is low (< 60). Plot of minute trends for last 21 days attached.
TITLE: Nov 26 Owl Shift 08:00-16:00UTC (00:00-08:00 PST), all times posted in UTC
STATE Of H1: Observing at ~80 Mpc
INCOMING OPERATOR: Patrick
END-OF-SHIFT SUMMARY: Quiet night. Wind below 20 mph. Average Useism reads 2e-1. The 501.606 Hz line pretty much dissapeared into the noise floor so if the ifo lose lock the SDF difference for SUS ITMY damping gain can be accepted (Guardian doesn't turn the gain on so the gain will be 0). I just noticed the Airhandlers and Temperature alarm for the corner station. Patrick's posting some plots.
Happy turkey day.
Couple of violin modes are high. I'm watching the RMS to make sure they're not ringing up.
TITLE: Nov 25 Eve Shift 0:00-8:00UTC
STATE Of H1: Earthquake
END-OF-SHIFT SUMMARY: It started ok...
Activity Log:
Quiet until 6:00, when an earthquake from Brazil rolled in, haven't been able to lock since. ALS just fails as soon as it tries to lock. Got to Check Ir just as Nutsinee arrived.
Quiet shift so far, IFO still going at a little less than 80 Mpc. Winds quiet, microseism continues to trend down.
