Q2 alignment - Temperature effects
Due to the winter storm weather we are having, the Staging Building temperature dropped over the weekend to 60 deg F. Both chains rose in height enough that all 4 top OSEMs were near or at 0 OLV. Resetting temperature controls in the building restored the OSEM/chain alignment as the temperature came back up to ~70 deg F over the last few days.

Quad 2 Alignment
We realigned and balanced Quad 2 after adding weight to the test masses to account for the increase weight of the glass masses. We had to replace the three lower wires on the Main Chain due to stretch. Found the flags for the UI OSEMs need to be installed and run in at least half way to attain proper pitch. We characterized all magnets and checked polarity per E1000617. BOSEMs on the Top mass have been tested for full range function and are set to their mid points. We will start testing the Top Mass BOSEMs on Monday.

Notes:
(1). The blade stop bolts must be run down so the head is below the level of the magnet holder. If not they will interfere with the left and right BOSEM alignment.
(2). Watch the side magnet and flag, as it is prone to hanging on the BOSEM, causing misalignment.
(3). Be sure to square and level the Table Cloth before adjusting the BOSEMs. This is especially important for the correct positioning of the left and right BOSEMs. Failure to set the Table Cloth properly can cause the BOSEM to push down on the Top Mass, throwing off the alignment of the other BOSEMs.

BSC7 cleared of remaining items on the optics table, and temporary hardware removed:
- Zack, Rodney, Cheryl

Removed weights (140 lbs) and steering mirror from the optics table. We then removed all of the auxiliary equip. used to remove large optics (lazy susan, lift table).

Final cleanup and storage of equipment will take place after Kyle and crew has put on the door.

Devices in the SQZ area
We borrowed these devices so far:

Power meter unit 5
ISCT1 viewer
Beam Profiler Photon XYS
SR785
Agilent 4396B

BSC7 work - H2 ITMX and FMX removed:
- Jodi, Jim, Patrick, Zack, Rodney, Cheryl

BSC7 large optics removed - H2 ITMX and FMX. The black glass beam dumps and supports were also removed.

Tomorrow: remove weights and one steering mirror, and equipment for removing LOS (lazy susan, lift table).

Also:
Evaluated the plan for removing BSC4 (H2 Beam Splitter) structures, and decided that going through HAM9 or HAM10, depending on whichever is available first, would be the safest route to go.
