10:27 Er'body's online getting started. (1) PSL PZT & IM3/IM4 > PRM & PR2 Irises 10:42 PZT +40, -40 P, Y, No moves needed on IM3/4 Keita pulls away PR2 Iris from PR2, replaces with post (2) Check PR3 Spot (if bad, move PR2) Cheryl works to install a new target Target works wonders. Spot looks well centered (2b) Work on spot IX / IY identification Found ITMY (3) Check ITMX Spot (if bad steer PR3) Put face sheild on ITMX for spot viewing Needed to steer PR3. +300 in pitch, +40 in yaw (note -- quick check of ITMY, off in yaw) leaving Y covered removing cover of ITMX (4) PR2 & PR3 > RTN BEAM From ITMX @ PRM Iris SRM misaligned, from -3000 to 0 Drive pitch PR2 opposite from PR3 Drive yaw PR2 same as PR3 11:55 forward beam and return beam from ITMX are coaligned (5) Check ITMX Spot high and -y direction concluded that walking the beam didn't work well -120 -13 -120 -13 12:27 Good in Yaw. Breaking for Lunch Need to pick up working in pitch on ITMX Need to check PR3 14:00 starting again, continueing to walk PR2 PR3 to get ITMX vs. RTN PRM spot Adjust PR2 and PR3, in 10:1 steps. PR2 +90 Pit PR3 -9 Pit ITMX and PRM spots looks great. (6) Check PR3 Spot 14:36 thinks looks good!! target moved PR3 by ~10-20 microradians, but spot is centered within a few mm. very reasonable. PRM iris was closed redo PR3, ITMX and ITMY spot position check. ITMX still good ITMY a little off, but reasonable. PR3 still few-4mm low, not enough to worry about. 14:42 Still good! (7) Check ITMY Spot (if bad, move BS) ITMY spot a little off (see above). uncovering ITMY (8) ITMY > RTM BEAM from ITMY @ PRM Iris 14:57 ITMY retro reflection is aligned! checked ITMY spot on ITMY, and it's better than before. Nice! (9) Check SR3 Spot ITMY is covered ITMX is uncovered See some fringing. Misaligning ITMY in Yaw. 15:15 SR3 Alignment is "good enough." +/- 1 cm accuracy. Note to self, get real targets for SR3. (10) Check SR2 Spot(s) (hopefully) mis align SRM to more by +3000 to +3000 in P misalign PRM in by P +3000, alinged is -155.6 misalign in itmy by + 600 in Y, +500 in pitch Centering looks good, on to SRM. restored PRM. Aligning SR2 to get beam through SRM and OFI remember we're using the ITMX path. ITMY is blocked and misaligned. A little bit of pitch on SR2 gets beam through OFI, through rejected path to ZM2. Nice! Removing temporary polarizer. 15:45 beam looks like its coming out of output faraday. a little bit off to the side on the output baffle. "that's what I remember." says keita. restoring ITMY alignment. (11) (SR2 & SR3) + (ITMY) uncover ITMY cover ITMX misalign ITMX by +400 in P then + 400 in Y SRM is railed. does not have 12000 cts of range. back off misalignment to +2000 in pitch. After a little ITMY adjustment, ITMY beam is well aligned. Uncover ITMX. Both Beams in play Cheryl Left Got some where, but a little confused with beam heights and directions. Reset SR2 and SR3. 16:15 Screenshot. Ed Leaves Gerardo joins steer ITMY to get beams overlapping. precision of 0.5 urad on ITMY. spots moving too much to tell where to go further. Good enough. sheila joins Checking spot position on SR2, more tweak of ITMY to get fringing right. Now move spot on SR2 with SR3. Big +yaw move for SR3. Spot OK Compensate for yaw move with +yaw SR2 to get beam back through OFI. 17:05 Steering SR2. two beams as lobes in OFI, difficult to see alignment in OFI. misaligning ITMY by -300 in pitch Done. 1 mm off in input and put irises in yaw. better in pitch. apeture for OFI is 20 mm going to check SRM alignment. found retro reflected beam, but we need way more pitch than the slider range. Need to adjust mechanically. Not today. Going to PRM to see if beams are still retroreflecting there. 17:20 screen shot (ITMY is still mis aligned) Realigned ITMY Spots are close. A little off in yaw, a little bit low. going for alignment of PRM. Swing around PRM slowly, look for secondary reflection. went to PR2, found beam clipping on a post. Adjusted pitch back to PRM. no success. was confused by ITMYbeam that wasn't VERY misaligned. 17:49 done for the day. 17:50 screen shot,
