ETMx story

We've been looking into why the ETMx SUS seems to be rubbing now that we are pumped down.  Initial thoughts are that it is temperature related, coupled with the buoyancy shift.  John turned the temp up at Ey in order to restore it to the temp from before the vent Dec 18-19.  Attached is a plot showing the vent during which we observed a few deg temp change.  We think we set the EQ stops during a more "normal" temp however.  During the vent period John increased the overall building temp 1 degC since it was colder than other VEAs and he assumed to standardize it.  Today, he dropped the temp back to the pre-vent value and we are waiting for the QUAD to reach equilibrium in hpes to see a free suspension.  In addition, it was decided to increase the pressure in the chamber in an attempt to increase the temperature coupling to the suspension.  We are plotting as we go to understand the vertical shifts.  To be continued...
