Recently, D. Brown et al. had usurped PCALX to create a single loud line for TCS / OM2 TSAMS / Mode Matching investigations. Since those have temporarily ceased, we reverted PCALX to the configuration that we'd installed a few months ago where we're testing out permanent characterization of the calibration systematic error over several frequencies (LHO:64214), with a few minor tweaks:
(1) I've re-ordered which oscillator is used for which frequency, so now oscillator increases with excitation frequency,
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC4_OSC_FREQ 33.43
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC5_OSC_FREQ 56.39
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC6_OSC_FREQ 77.73
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC7_OSC_FREQ 102.13
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC8_OSC_FREQ 283.91
(2) I've increased the amplitude of the 33 and 56 Hz lines by a factor of 2, based on the relatively worse coherence at those frequencies listed in Maddie's initial analysis LHO:65190,
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC4_OSC_SINGAIN 10
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC5_OSC_SINGAIN 10
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC6_OSC_SINGAIN 10
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC7_OSC_SINGAIN 20
caput H1:CAL-PCALX_PCALOSC8_OSC_SINGAIN 200
(3) I've re-turned on the 4001.3 Hz line that's the highest frequency we use for the "roaming line" characterization of the sensing function
(4) I've turned on a brand new line at 450.13 Hz as the place holder for "right next to" the future location of the PCALY 450.03 Hz line for constant PCALXY comparison.
Unfortunately, when we tried to update everything that we through we remembered was necessary to update the PCAL 410.3 Hz line, we failed -- namely, we got output from the front-end kappa_C and f_cc that was 1.5 [relative gain], and f_cc = 230 Hz which was clearly and wildly wrong.
So, we scrapped that move and reverted. More details about the failure, and what we at least remembered to do to come.
However, one final revert of the mode-matching modifications, I
(5) Reduced the amplitude of the 17.1 Hz PCALY line from 5000 cts back down to its approximate level during O3, with an excitation amplitude of 1000 cts.
All of the above changes have been accepted to the OBSERVE.snap files in SDF.
