The crossbeam has been mounted in place between the South end HEPI assemblies. Unfortunately the layout of the weldment and the frame is preventing some of the bolts from being torqued down. The bottle jacks and the work table will remain in place until some way of torquing the bolts down can be figured out. Once this problem is solved things should move fairly quickly for finishing out the HAM.
Opened GV7 as it was soft closed earlier in the day for craning operations.
This is the second shipment from GNB. More photos here in the public collection "lho end station spool delivery" - https://ligoimages.mit.edu/?r=6580
installation of mechanical test stand supports in LVEA West Bay LVEA transitioned to laser safe for box cleaning test and welding of HEPI tubing from mezzanine to BSC8 running turbo pump on X mid and Y mid cleaning of top of vacuum tube in LVEA work on supplying electrical service to new H2 electronics building installation of air pressure gauge between plenum and LVEA
I conducted the relevant section of the ECD block testing again.
Began pumping Y-mid on MTP. X-mid BSC dome bolts not torqued -> will ask Apollo to torque dome bolts at X-mid
Dani, Filiberto, Grant, Keita, Patrick The particle counts in the LVEA were unusually high today, including at ISCT4, where they should be zero. We went out to investigate ISCT4 and found that the HEPA filters were not running due to an undetermined electrical fault at the outlet. The power strip has been connected to another socket for the time being, and the counts have returned to zero. The .5 micron counts in ISCT4 are recorded in channel H0:PEM-LVEA_DST1_5 on the attached plot.
BSC6 moved from mid Y to end Y Drilling holes for mechanical test stand installation in West bay HEPI installation work Delivery of laser partition wall Delivery of vacuum parts Fire alarm panel in computer users room has a fault
HAM 7 has the HEPI frames as well as the weldments in place and ready for the crossbeam. The jacks holding up the support tubes had to be relocated to give clearance to the clamps as well as allowing an extension piece to be attached to the end of the support tube. To do this two jacks and the top clamp were used to cradle the support tube while the extension was attached and the jack relocated. The crossbeam is rigged with a spreader bar and should be ready to install shortly.
After lunch the chamber will move into the end station. No excitement at any time - this is good.
The doors to the EY Cleaning Room (a.k.a. air lock) were closed at 3:15pm 1-Jum-11, with the BSC inside (https://ligoimages.mit.edu/?r=6562).
H1 DAQ H1ADCU_EX was reconfigured. We have replaced H1:SEI-ETMX_FINE2 with the new low frequency InfraSound Microphone channel H0:PEM-EX_IS_MIC. Acquisition rate remains at 256Hz.
Yesterday we completed some preliminary TF testing and ECD Damping tests on QUAD 2 (BSC 8 ITM). Attached plots include a comparison of: the previous build (Jan 2011), the Quad Model, no ECD blocks, ECD blocks reversed for minimal influence, and ECD blocks positioned approximately half-way over magnets. The plots are unscaled and have a couple of the model DOF mixed up. Note: The Watch Dog tripped during Pitch high frequency testing (without ECD blocks) preventing any drive signal being sent during the Yaw TF (without the ECD blocks). Yaw without ECD blocks is an un-driven response only. Once again, this is part of the preliminary testing and so this is not a concern because these tests were part of the process for building the new scripts, which will require several iterations before we are ready for final metal build testing.

BSCISI #2
The old iligo wiki machine continues to freeze roughly once a week. So I swapped out the computer with the spare X2100 machine.
I rebooted the vacuum epics systems for EY, MY and MX to add the water pressure records. The EX channel was added at an earlier time. All four chans were added to the DAQ.
Kyle- Rough-pumped Y-mid to ~2 torr to add layer of vacuum safety-> No gauges mounted,i.e.no CDS pressure indication -> waiting for Class A flange to mount gauge pair and Class A blanks to replace unneeded viewports. Kyle- Installed remaining door bolts on HAM6 east door and torqued. Noticed gaps between flanges on HAM3, HAM2 and HAM1 east doors. Also, HAM1 west door. Bolts too loose for those which are difficult to access. Easy-access bolts were tight -> I torqued gaps closed on these doors. Pumping Vertex with Turbo over long weekend. Also pumping HAM6 with turbo backed by portable pump cart over long weekend.

BSC ISI #1
Only subassembly work today. Today the Flexures were assembled.
Also lots of organizing of parts.
BSC ISI #2
Spent most of the day flipping the Big Oven with Big Plates for the Assembly.
- No laser hazard today. - Hugh and Apollo transport items between outbuildings. - Terry Santini makes rounds at outbuildings. - Gerardo and Keita take photos at REFL port and ISCT4. - Dell support arrives for JonathanH. - JonathanB measures viewport height at EY. - Big group for Friday public tour. - Ongoing preparations for welding in LVEA.
